Dear Parents and Children,

I can’t believe that the first four weeks are over! I am very sad to say goodbye to all of the boys and girls who are leaving on Friday. I am very happy though that many campers will remain at Jay’s for six or eight weeks.

Looking Forward to Next Year

Each and every year parents come and ask me “Jay, how long are you going to run Jay’s? After all, you have been here for 26 years.” The answer is simple, Jay’s camp is my life. Each year I look forward to investing myself in my camp. I gain fulfillment from seeing smiles on my camper’s faces. I consider myself very lucky to be able to do something which I enjoy.

Next year, I will do everything in my power to make our fee structure among the most competitive of all camps on the North Shore. Please take advantage of the first early discount in October. By sending in a small deposit, you will receive a large, early discount. The October discount will only be offered one time and it will be the largest discount you can receive.

Referral Discount

Jay is the only private camp which offers a discount for referring new campers. A certificate will be mailed to you in October. The more children you refer, the larger the discount. This is my way of lessoning the financial burden to you in these tough economic times.

I am looking forward to the next four weeks. There will be many new and exciting programs for the second four weeks. Jay’s Carnival and Jay’s Olympics are just a few of the exciting programs awaiting your child for the second four weeks. We will also be asking your child to bring a clean white t-shirt for tye-dying.

Lost and Found

There still remains quite a few items which have gone unclaimed from our lost and found. Please feel free to come to camp and look for your child’s lost articles or you may send a note and we will do our best to locate it.

                                  Until next week,

                                          Jay

Amanda’s Animal Bands

Hello everyone, I cannot believe that it has already been four weeks at Jays Camp! I guess time flies when you’re having fun! This has been an awesome and crazy week for everyone. We went to Kristof's on a field trip, had Wild West Day, and our Willly Wonka play is on Thursday!  One of my girls has really put in a lot of effort for her part in the play and that would be Sarah S. She has been so excited since day one when she found out that she was going to be in Willy Wonka. All of her hard work and dedication that she has put into her part is really going to shine through when she is acting.  It has been a great first session and I am so excited to see what is in store for the second session!!

Alexis’ All Stars

This has been another eventful week for the all- stars! We had Wild West Day this week! The girls were so helpful in setting up the general store, where they were able to buy fun toys and books with the money they were given. Ellie Z. did an outstanding job in the arcade at Kristof’s On Tuesday! She won so many tickets and was such a wonderful sport to the other girls. Sadly this is the last week of the session. I hope everyone had a great first session and rests up for a great second session. Have a wonderful weekend and remember to stay cool with the intense heat!

Nikki’s Ninjas

Wow!!! I can't believe it has already been 4 weeks and the summer is half way over! All I can say is that I had an amazing time this first four weeks with your girls. They are an amazing group of girls, and I had so much fun with them! To begin I would like to congratulate Kayla R. for passing into white 4 during swimming lessons this week! Great job Kayla on your hard work. I also was extremely impressed with Samantha S. talent at the climbing wall on Monday. She by far had to be the fastest person I've seen climb to the top of that wall all year! While Sasha R. showed her creative side in art this week, with her beautiful artistic pen! Then there was our field trip to Kristof’s where Kimberly E. won a ton of tickets, she is such gamer! You go Girl! This has been such an amazing first 4 weeks, which has created great memories that I will never forget! Cammy, Morgan, Chandler, Kiana, Jeanie, Kayla, Kimberly, and Sasha I will miss each and every one of you! Have an amazing rest of the summer, and hope to see you next summer! Love you all!
