Dear Parents and Children,

Week five was alive-

With all sorts of fun!

The counselors and kids,

Were all on the run.

We Tie-Dyed our shirts,

So we would be on a team.

The Olympics are next week,

And we’ll all make the scene.

Welcome all of our campers to the second four weeks at Jay’s Camp. There will be many new and exciting programs in store for all of our campers, with sports, games, contests, Olympics, the famous Jay’s Carnival and Much, Much, More!

Extensions: We do have some openings left for weeks 6,7, and 8. Just call the office to make arrangements.

Picture Day: Picture Day will be Monday July 26th. All campers should wear their Jay’s T-Shirts!

Inter-Camp Counselor Tournament: Jay’s Camp challenged Banner Day Camp to a softball game on Monday July 19th. Banner won the first game 7-5. However, Jay’s Camp (Hooray!!) beat Banner in the second game 17-3. Way to go Jay’s Camp!!!

TNT Sports Camp Unit Heads

The second session of Jays started off awesome, as expected. All the kids dominated their counselors in the Gladiator games. These counselors were tough, but as always, the kids beat them down. Don’t forget next week is Olympic week. Our tie-dye shirts are looking awesome. Great job fella’s and start training for the Olympics next week!!

Sports Camp 2nd Grade

SC 2 Jon's Team X

Grant M. did an excellent job in his first week of leagues. The first

Day, he had a great hit to left field which tied the game. The next

day in soccer he made a great save above his head as goalie, and did not let up a goal.

Billy F. also had a walk off hit in leagues Wednesday, helping get his

team goes to 1-1. Billy also did an excellent job in Gaga, claiming last

week's king of the court.

Adams 2010 Stanley Cup Champion Blackhawks! --

This week was an amazing one for the Blackhawks! Our newest team member Andrew J was phenomenal in all parts of camp! His skills on the baseball field proved that he was a great pick-up. Along with fitting in perfectly with the team athletically, he also keeps us under the salary cap so we could hold on to Max R for one more week! Max proved that he was the MVP of the group with his skills in the pool and all around charisma! Were going to miss you Max! Collin C continued to dominate on jumpshot-spaceball...as usual! Great job boys! I am very proud!

Zack's Soda Pop

Back and better than ever, the Soda Pop started Week 5 off with a bang. Riding a Leagues championship win, Matt M. delivered in the clutch, scoring the winning run in the first baseball game of the session. Jake N. dominated in Space Ball, winning six straight games. Geoff S. displayed his gymnastics ability by winning the handstand contest at gymnastics. Next week will be even better, since we will be having our Jays Olympics!

Joe's Scorpions

This week was amazing!!! Alec R. was on fire in basketball, not even his counselor could beat him. Now let's not be too upset Lebron didn't come to Chicago because we still have Alec as an option. Now Paul P. must have had a last minute burst of energy because he took 7 straight wins in knockout. Every member of this group was in shock!!!! Thanks everyone keep up the good work.

Silver's Hawks

The second half has officially begun here at Jay’s camp! For this group of superstars, there was no halftime speech needed. This is already

the best group at camp! To kick off the second four weeks, Ryan N had

a monster game in baseball as hit put on a hitting clinic down at the

fantasy field! Way to go Ryan! Also giving a stellar performance was

Nick W as he made web gem after web gem in leading his team to

victory! Noah S triumphed in jump shot and spaceball as he mowed down

anyone who was in his way. Alan S also had an amazing performance in

soccer this week pouring in the goals as he was all over the pitch

this week in Jay's Stadium. We couldn't have started the second four

weeks with a better one than this week...let's keep up the good work

boys!!

Alberts Troublemakers

Jay's camp week 5 two words: phe-nominal! The new additions to the group really thrived in the inaugural week of the second session of camp. In interest groups Matt C. took really well to archery. He was hitting bull’s eye after bull’s eye with his bow and arrows! It looked like he belonged in a movie! In jump shot Noah C. had the best midrange game sinking shot after shot to dominate the field! In game world Garret G. was the king of bumper pool as he ran the table on the entire group! He has got some kind of skill! In the hockey rink Jake S. played goalie like he was a brick wall!  Nothing got passed him as he saved his way to his team’s victory. Week 5 was impressive and I can't watt to see what week 6 has in store for us

Mike Watkins

The Crew

Were heading into our second four weeks of camp, and man is Jays camp flying by with all the fun we are having. Although we had some members of our group leave, we had some new campers come into our group this session and I would like to give John and Ben B. a welcome back. They immediately fit right into our group bonding with everyone and trying their hardest every time we have an activity. They both always cooperate and do exactly as they are instructed and for that I would like to thank both of you. We had the rock-climbing wall this week as one of our activities and I would like to give a special notice to George S. He gave it his all on every section of the wall and reached the top of the wall several times. Way to go George! Matthew S. is on my leagues team as well as my group, and for leagues one day we had soccer. Matthew was outstanding; he scored two goals and had many saves while playing goalie. Thanks Crew for another great week.

K's Swagdaddys----

The second four week session is in full swing and the swagdaddies have been looking better than ever! The newest acquisition, Noah S., has showed he can fit right in on this all-star cast! This guy gives 110% every time he steps out into the field. His hard work earned him athlete of the week this week! Keep it up Noah! Jack L. has also found himself in the news with his skills on the soccer field. He notched 3 goals in our opening day of leagues on the way to a big

victory for his team. Great job Jack! I can’t wait to see what next week will bring with the start of Jay's Olympics! Great work swagdaddies!
