Dear Parents,
Week six at Jay’s was highlighted by the arrival of the Olympic Torch for our annual Jay’s Olympics program.  All of the flags for the 5 countries marched in as well.  The countries for Jay’s Olympics were: Greece, Italy, Israel, USA, and China.  The children made flags, posters, and cheers for their individual countries.  The Olympics ran through the entire week with the medals and ribbons handed out to all the children on Friday.  Congratulations to all of the children and staff for displaying great sportsmanship, after all, that’s what the Olympics are all about.

This week has been amazing. I can’t believe all that we got done in only one week. The water park was a great way to beat the heat and relax. We needed that relaxation, because we kicked it into gear the rest of the week for Olympics. We are a camp filled with champions. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these kids have real gold medals around their necks in a few years. Great job Sports Camp.

SC 2 Jon's Team X
Justin O. really enjoys when the group goes to Jurrasic Survivor. This week, he set a new group record, finishing in 15 seconds. Also, Justin did a great job in Hip Hop. He did his best and won the best dancer award. Way to go Justin!!!!

Adams 2010 Stanley Cup Champion Blackhawks! --
This week was a great one for the Blackhawks! It started at the water park on Tuesday where Ben N declared himself King of the  Lazy River! He put his game face on though as we came back to camp as he helped lead China to some first place victories in the Olympics! At the top of the slide, it was Carson D who flew down the slide faster than anyone! Great job boys!

Zack's Soda Pop
This week at Jay's, we competed in Jay's Olympics. Ryan J. dominated in 21, helping to lead his team to victory. Tyler S. was all over the volleyball court, helping his team to a win in the Nuke 'em tournament. Duncan P. displayed his incredible speed, finishing near the top in the 100 yard dash. I cannot wait for Week 7 to come!

Joe's Scorpions
Another fantastic week here at jays camp!!! This week we were all lucky enough to go out to the water park and we couldn't have asked for a nicer day. Olympics started this week as well and we have so many highlights. Joey L. put everything he had to help bring his country to a quick victory. In the nukem event Will K. and Tommy Y. Were not going to allow and balls to hit the sand. These kids stood there like a stonewall. Congratulations everyone!!!

Silver's Hawks

Well, another great week has gone by here at Jay's camp and the Hawks had an unreal time. The 2010 Jay's Olympics arrived here at camp so the group has been split up into their countries. This has not stopped the Hawks from doing great things. Eli F had a superstar like performance during basketball as he hit shot after shot in leading his team to victory!
Ethan K came up huge in the elimination volleyball tournament as his
country took home the gold! Also Noah S and Nick W were studs in the running events. They battled back and forth like Magic and Bird. What competition!! Let's finish these last two weeks strong boys! Keep on truckin'

Alberts Troublemakers
The Sixth week of Jay's Camp was one to remember! With Olympics occurring through out the week, campers got a chance to see what it's like to compete for the pride of their country.  In Olympic basketball, Collin S. was physically, literally, and mentally unstoppable! He didn't miss a single shot the entire time catapulting his country to a first place finish!  For the running events Ryan H. performed superbly when he took fourth place in the marathon run!  The Marathon is a grueling event and Ryan was able to tough it out.  He has a lot of guts. In the 30 man Jurassic Survivor tournament Alec F. played the role of underdog when he shocked everyone with a fourth place finish! Alec really was a bracket buster!  Week six at camp was ridiculous and I am so psyched about the next two weeks!

The Crew

Our group is really having some fun as we're coming into the closing
weeks of Jays camp. We had time trials this week for Jurassic survivor and I would like to give a special mention to Derek J. He was so fast through the obstacle course that he beat two people and made it in to the final rounds. Great job Derek,…way to fly. Scott G. came back this week and man did we miss him. He has one of the fastest times on the obstacle course ever on record here at Jay. As soon as he goes in, he's coming out the other end in seconds. Way to move Scott. We have also been having Olympics this week and volleyball was one of our fun events. Tyler S. absolutely dominated, scoring point after point and helping the team get the win. Great job Tyler. Keep up the good work
guys.

K's Swagdaddys----
Week six is upon us and the swagdaddies are at it again. With the water park field trip and Jay's Olympics, excitement is high in camp!  Tommy K. has been showing up big in camp this week. So far he has hit every goal set for him and is a true leader in camp! Great job TK, keep it up! The newest addition to the group, Noah S., was killing it on the nukum court this week in camp Olympics. The guy has an absolute canon for an arm! Great work Noah!
