SAC Camp had a fantastic week at camp! The week was full of so many great activities, including a trip to the Vernon Hills Aquatic Center and Jay’s Olympics!!!! On Tuesday, SAC Camp went to the water park and had a great time going down the slides, floating in the lazy river and swimming in the pool. The rest of the week the girls worked so hard at all their different Olympic events! The girls were part of five great countries: USA, Greece, Italy, Israel and China. The girls had the chance to participate in throwing events, jumping events, swimming events, gymnastics, and team events to help win points for their countries. Everyone demonstrated such great sportsmanship and teamwork throughout the weeklong festivities. Also this week, SAC Camp continued to work hard to prepare their performances in classes. We are so excited to see what is in store. Next week we have some great activities planned for SAC Camp, and we also have Jay’s Carnival with so many great activities. It is going to be so much fun! The 6th week of camp was such a blast. We started off the week with opening ceremonies for Olympics. The girls all had such a great time getting with their countries, making their flag, and creating a cheer.  This week Nicole Z. was an all-star at newcomb. She was fierce on the court and proved to everybody that she was a rockstar. Way to go Nicole! Everyone had a great time on Tuesday at the waterpark. It was such a nice day to spend at the pool with all our friends. The 6th week ended with closing ceremonies, which was a perfect end to a great week. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and I can't wait to see everyone on Monday!

Ali’s Awesome Amigas
What an outstanding sixth week of camp!  This week was Olympics, where we kicked it off with the opening ceremonies, as Greece, Italy, China, USA and Israel were ready for a week of competition. For one of the events, throwing for accuracy, Paige F. showed us how well she is at accuracy!  Great job Paige!  Also, Hannah G. and Sami S. showed all the other countries how fast they were during Olympic swim!  Look out Michael Phelps!  Also this week we had our field trip to the Vernon Hills Waterpark where the Amigas had tons of fun staying cool in the hot sun! For all the amigas that are leaving, I hope you have a fantastic rest of your summer!  I'll miss you all!  For the rest of the amigas, get ready for a great last two weeks of camp!  Have a great weekend girlies!
Adios!

Marissa's Milkshakes are having an amazing time and I can't believe camp is almost coming to an end.  This week was awesome though.  We started Olympics and it's been so much fun competing against all the teams. Hannah P. was amazing at the basketball dribble and tennis dribble. I couldn't believe how fast she went! Not only did we have Olympics this week, but we also went on a field trip and had a super time!  McKenzie S. was such a dare devil and went down all the slides!  On the climbing tower Emme H. was a pro and climbed all the way to the top!  Great job Emme! Well I'm so sad another week is over, but I will see u girls on Monday! Have a great weekend and I will miss u! xo Marissa

Amanda’s Animal Bands
Hello everyone! What an amazing and fun week we had! In classes this week the girls had the option to be in the play, and Sarah S. has been so excited since day one to be in the musical review (a combination of favorite scenes from many different plays). She has had her script/songs with her everywhere she goes so she can practice and be the best actress she can be.  Jessica B. is a great leader and always has fun ideas. Who knows, she may be a famous architect one day. She was so creative when building with legos. Have a great weekend! Amanda

Alexis’ All Stars
It has been another wonderful week for the girls! They got to enjoy the gorgeous weather while staying wet and cool at the water-park. Elizabeth Y. played an outstanding game of mini golf; she's clearly gotten the hang of it since day one! This week was very exciting for the girls because they participated in Olympics! They chose what events to do and they all truly excelled and did a wonderful job for their countries. We were so excited to see which country won. Have a nice and safe weekend; I can't wait to see you all next week!

Rachel’s Rockers

I can’t believe the sixth week of camp is over! This week was so much fun! On Tuesday, Sac and Sports Camp went to the Vernon Hills Waterpark. We had so much fun going through the lazy river and sliding down the slides. This week was also Olympic week. During Olympics, Brooke R. ran the 100-yard dash and won! She helped Israel be put in the top spot for the day. Great job Brooke! She also made a cool picture frame in art this week! This week in basketball, we played four-square. Payton E. stayed at the king spot for record time. She rocked at keeping the ball in play! Awesome job Payt! Also, she cheered on her team during Olympics and had great sportsmanship! Keep it up! Unfortunately some of our girls are leaving this week. Have a great rest of the summer girls and I’ll see you next year. For the rest of you have a great weekend and I can't wait to see what the second week will bring us. Love you! Rachel

Lauren’s Oompa Loompas
It was another great week at Jay's as we kicked off Olympics and headed to the water park for a day of refreshing fun. As we practiced gymnastics Monday morning, Amanda W. showed off her beautiful "swan" jump as she and the rest of our group pretended to be animals and show off their cheerleading jumps. At the water park, Sasha R. and Sam F. joined me on the slide and down the relaxing lazy river before joining the others for a fun filled day. And as we returned to camp and classes, Camryn K. has already memorized her solo for the play! Everyone is excited as we continue our week of Jay's Olympics and head into our final weeks of camp. Have a great weekend!

Wow I can’t believe that six-weeks has already flown by! The sixth week was packed with so many exciting events a field trip to Vernon Hills Water Park and you can forget about Jays Camp Olympics! The Olympics have shown how truly talented our SAC campers are especially Analese D. She showed what a great competitor she really is winning China second place in the girls’ basketball dribble competition. Great Job Analese! I was also was impressed by Sammie S. this week in Art where she really showed her creative side making a beautiful hanging picture frame! Keep up the great work Sammie. The past two weeks have been amazing and I can’t believe that this was my last week with the group. I am sad to say that Jay’s Camp summer 2010 is over for me and that I will be heading back to school next week. Girls, a.k.a Nikki’s Ninjas, you have made these past 6 weeks incredible for me and I couldn’t ask for anything more.
