DAY CAMP NEWSLETTER – WEEK THREE
Dear Day Campers, Parents and Families,
It is hard to believe that our third week of camp has already come and gone! Although it was a short week, the Day Campers were super busy and they had a fabulous time. Aside from having a blast at all of our regularly scheduled activities, the Day Campers had lots of fun surprises this week. This week we participated in CRAZY OLYMPICS! The Day Campers were wild and crazy in all of our silly events, games, and relays. We had a pie-eating contest, cracker whistling contest, bubblegum blowing competition, an egg toss, a water balloon throwing contest, and a counselor mummy wrap game, just to name a few. Aside from all the Crazy Olympics fun, the Day Campers have been working incredibly hard at preparing for Day Camp Parent Day. They are very excited to put on a performance for all of their families, and we can’t wait to show you all the fun we have at Jay’s! We really hope that all parents and family members can make it!
NEXT WEEK….Get ready for Jay’s annual WILD WEST DAY next Wednesday! The entire camp will be transformed into a real wild western town, complete with an old fashioned General Store, a Saloon, a Barber Shop/Beauty Salon, Watering Hole, etc.
****DON’T FORGET! All Day Camp parents and family members are invited to DAY CAMP PARENT DAY! We welcome you to join us for an afternoon of special Day Camp performances by your children and some fun activities for you to participate in with your Day Camper! We hope you will be able to join us on Monday, July 12 at 12:30 pm. The program will last about an hour.
Parents, please feel free to contact me at anytime at camp if you have any questions or concerns! I will do my best to get back to you as soon as I can.
THANK YOU FOR YET ANOTHER FANTASTIC WEEK! CAN’T WAIT FOR MORE FUN DURING OUR 4TH WEEK OF CAMP!!

NICK’S BLUE ROCKETS
Week three at Jay’s proved to be the best week yet! Sam R. demonstrated his impressive goalie abilities in hockey earlier this week. Like a brick wall nothing got past him! Sam definitely reminded us of watching the Blackhawks goalie in the Stanley cup. Chase A. is a defensive genius in the hockey arena. A big reason our group has such success in hockey is due to the fact that Chase doesn't give the opposing team an opportunity to take a shot on goal. Great job to Micah A. for doing an awesome job in all of his Crazy Olympics events! All of the Blue Rockets did an amazing job this week!
DC GIRLS – Kindergarten
JORI’S BUNNIES
What another fun filled week for the Bunnies! This week was very exciting because we got a new friend in our group, Fiona D. She did a fabulous job at all of our sports and activities this week! This week we have also stared working on our dance for Parent Day coming up and the girls are looking great! At pottery we started our new project and we are making ducks. The girls really seem to enjoy these crafts and work very hard on them. In swimming, Charlotte R. put her whole head under water for the first time! At the climbing tower Natalie K. flew her way up and almost reached the top! Great job girls! This week flew by, and I am looking forward to another great week next week!

RYAN’S BLACKHAWKS
It's the third week already, and camp is going by fast. This week Josh P lead his team to victory while playing goalie. Mitchell R showed his great athletic ability while climbing up the rock wall in less than 1 minute. Also, Mario P moved up from green to red in swimming this week. All the campers are also looking forward to the talent show in the next coming week.
COLLIN’S COYOTES
What a third week at Jay’s Camp. We are already flying by so much and the Coyotes are having a great time and doing so well in all of their activities. This week was an awesome week for Andrew K. During the climbing wall Andrew climbed all the way to the top and made it look so easy!! Andrew did not even get tired at all and when he got down he wanted to go right back up. Andrew is showing great confidence at camp and just like the climbing wall he is able to show great successes in every other activity. Also we now have a new kung fu master named Sam G. We have been working on our dance this week for our talent show on Monday, and parents I hope you are ready to see the next karate kid. Sam has been showing excellent talent in karate and does not get tired at all. His karate kicks and spins are an amazing show. These weeks has been a great week for the Coyotes, and are showing amazing talent every week. It is going to be a great time next week and I am excited to see each coyote strive to be the best they can be and have an awesome time at Jay’s Camp.

ALLI’S ANIMALS
It has been another great week for the Animals! Julia S. stood out in swimming as she has been working very hard as a red in swim lessons! Rachel L. has also been working hard in basketball and scored too many baskets to count! Keep up the good work girls! All of the Animals participated in Crazy Olympics this week! We did races such as the cracker whistle and the balloon toss and we all had so much fun! I'm so excited for next week! Have a great weekend!
